LoveSync ("we", "our", or "the App") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application, in compliance with Google Play Developer policies and applicable data protection laws.

By using LoveSync, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

## 1. Information We Collect

To provide and improve our services, we may collect the following types of information:

*   **Personal Account Information:** Email address, name, gender, passwords (encrypted), and couple profile data.
*   **User-Generated Content:** Journal entries, goals, bucket lists, calendar notes, interactions in games (e.g., Roulette, Kamasutra), time capsules, and media files (photos) that you and your partner choose to share within the App.
*   **Device and Usage Data:** Information about how the App is accessed and used, including your mobile device type, unique device identifier (Device ID), IP address, operating system, and diagnostic data for bug tracking purposes (via Firebase Crashlytics).
*   **Sensitive Permissions:**
    *   **Camera and Photo Gallery:** Requested only when you intentionally choose to upload a photo (e.g., setting an avatar or sharing a memory). Images are securely processed and stored.
    *   **Push Notifications:** Used to send reminders and real-time updates regarding interactions with your linked partner.

## 2. How We Use Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

*   To provide, maintain, and improve LoveSync features.
*   To authenticate access to your account and keep your session secure.
*   To sync information and real-time interactions exclusively with your connected partner.
*   To monitor app usage and conduct internal analysis for performance improvements.
*   To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and bugs.

## 3. Information Sharing

By its very nature, LoveSync is designed to connect you directly with your partner. Therefore, the information and content you input into the App are shared with the user profile linked to yours (your partner).

Beyond this, we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may only share your information with third parties in the following scenarios:

*   **Service Providers:** We use cloud infrastructure services (such as Supabase, and our backend providers) to host data, manage our database, and authenticate users. These third-party service providers have access to your personal data solely to perform these specific tasks on our behalf and are strictly obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
*   **Legal Requirements:** We may disclose your personal data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

## 4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. If your account is canceled or if you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data.

**Right to Deletion:** You have the right to request the deletion of all your data at any time. This can be done in the following ways:
1. Directly within the app by navigating to **Settings > Delete Account**.

Please note that deleting your account will result in the irreversible loss of your connection, journal history, photos, game progress, and all couple interactions.

We value the trust you place in providing us with your data, especially given the intimate nature of the information LoveSync may store. We protect your data using industry-standard security measures (such as encryption in transit and at rest), relying on trusted Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) providers. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

## 6. Children's Privacy and Content Rating

LoveSync is **not directed to individuals under the age of 18**. The application contains features and themes intended exclusively for adult couples.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we will be able to take the necessary actions to remove that information from our servers.

## 7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and, where appropriate, notifying you through a prominent notice within the App prior to the change becoming effective.
